Everyday we went into the fire, overnight we had a resurrection. As the swordsmith tempers the steel by repeatedly placing the metal into the fire, the conscious and subconscious mind must be tempered and honed. Until the time arrives when the mind can become the ally, where one can use it as a sword to cut through the illusion of maya. The training that is offered by the Institute is not solely for the accreditation of a hypnotherapist; it is to prepare the new therapist through this process of personal transformation. To perform an act of Alchemy they to must have been Alchemically transformed.
Daily I have the opportunity to go to places that were reaching out from the inside to be heard or felt. The most dramatic was the day I was taken to the voice that dictated my whole life. There I got to go to the core reason and saw and felt the very first time of it's creation, I learned how it was formed and why it held me back all of my life. My fellow student that was acting as my therapist first let the voice speak it's mind, then with the ease of a Samurai warrior swung her blade and changed the voice of the saboteur to a voice that now supports and oversees my progression in life.
Thirty days of dancing with the dragon and then you are rewarded with a simple certificate of completion enabling you to practice this high art of Alchemy. The real reward is seeing and feeling the personal change that occurs not only in yourself but all of your classmates. Self-empowered, they can now see life with new perception and awareness. Somatic Football Healing
At age 13 in junior high school at only 5’ 3” tall and weighing 107 lbs, I became a tackling dummy for a 6’ 2” 175 lb. overachiever in a drill setup by my coach to teach me… something??! The result was a severe injury to my lumbar spine from contact with a stone at impact as my teammate drove his shoulder into my belly on our practice field.
Now, at age 61 I thought I’d checkout Hypnotic Movement while a student at the Alchemy Institute in a practice session with one of my fellow students. Results were immediate and impressive. I seemed taller to myself and to my fellow students. The lower back pain I’d been living with since age 13 was basically gone! How Alchemy Changed My Life
One of the main gifts I got from using Alchemical Hypnotherapy in my own life is the subpersonality work. Over the last 14 years I have used the Conference Room Dialogue, both the trance and the psychodrama version, to uncover deep seated patterns in the subconscious. A lot of healing and transformation has happened in different areas of my life.
I remember the moment in a Hypnotherapy session when Little Rabia met Alan, the Inner Mate. She is still sitting on his lap, feeling loved, connected, and protected. Alchemical Hypnotherapy training has given me a life! Prior to 1990,I had a steady income, but I did not enjoy my job. I knew computer programming could not be why I was put on this earth.
I decided on a career in hypnotherapy, I began investigating schools all over the country. I spoke to many people who had completed this training. I knew it would be a wonderful experience, but the training actually exceeded my expectations. When I signed up for the personal transformation program in 1989, I wasn't seeking a career change. But the transformation I experienced during the training was so profound, that I was moved to complete the training, start a practice and become a hypnotherapy teacher myself.

Graduate's Story
Alchemy to me means a permanent internal shift. This is what I experienced during David Quigley's professional training at the Alchemy Institute of Healing Arts. When I finished this course I walked away with the confidence to start my healing practice. I felt the self-assuredness I needed to begin seeing clients and helping them open the doors to their own awareness. My own insights deepened tremendously with the kind of one on one work that was available during the training. Not only did I begin to understand and see others "process', but I was able to experience first hand, my own deep inner changes in a very supportive environment. It was a unique classroom situation in which I am grateful to have been able to participate.
My work with clients began in 1993. I realized I wasn't interested in the smoking cessation or weight loss cases, that my direction went more towards deep emotional problems that surfaced with troubling re-occurring habits, that truly inhibited a person's life process. my longtime interest in dream work also benefited from this Alchemical approach to healing . My prior training of twenty years as an artist, and many years of dance and yoga had also given me a very strong connection to my own creative sources and I could easily tap into others' creative centers as a specialty area in my own work.
My interest in shamanic work has continued to deepen, and working with the Ecuadorian Shamans and healers in the rain forest has substantiated my belief the "the world is as you dream it".
Personal belief systems are the root of the personality and when a part of your life isn't working for you, you have the power to change it. By deliberately intending what you want in your life, you do not open yourself up to others influences as much. Taking charge of your life is exhilarating and to me is the most creative act one can perform; the act of giving yourself total freedom.
